Willian Henry
Attwood
The story of:  William Henry Attwood, 21 yrs (N ticket 2660 2nd cabin)

Admin note: I have not yet been contacted by any Attwood descendants. I have added to this page some news articles mentioning his bravery, being one of the men that accompanied Parry in the small boat from King Island to Victoria to seek rescue and his obits just a month later.
Admin note: how do we find out who was a jockey!
A sad postscript:

Mr Attwood's new life in Australia was short lived. After a heroic start where he played a part in the rescue of the Netherby passengers, he lived for only a few weeks after arriving in Melbourne, dying tragically in a horse fall.

The only son of John Attwood, Esq, of Stockbridge, Hants, England
