PASSENGERS HISTORY'S

In the index on the left of this page you will see a lengthy list of pages titled "Passenger history: <Family Name>". Each of these pages represent a passenger or a family of passengers, who appear on the Netherby shipping manifests.

Some pages contain information sent to myself (Karina, admin) by descendants, or to Ann and Ernst Rutte (when they were creating posters to be displayed during the 150th commemorations), or just information collected during my own research in Google, Trove and many genealogical and history websites.

Each of the passenger history pages are linked within the main passenger list (here). My goal is to collect as many stories from passengers descendants as possible to have a huge resource about the Netherby history as a whole. If you think about it, if all of these hardy people had not survived this shipwreck, the descendants, these stories and so much Australian history, would not exist.

Anyone who is the descendant of a Netherby shipwreck passenger is more than welcome to contact me and provide absolutely anything they would like to contribute, and I will built a page for their ancestor/s and place it in the index on the left and link it from the main passenger list. As you will see if you click on the various pages, the content of each page is completely reliant on what I am sent. It can be anything. Stories handed down through families, family tree's, family photos, grave/headstone photos, news articles, birth/death/marriage notices. Absolutely anything - and the more the merrier.

You can contact me via the Facebook group here, or by email here.

Thank you to all who have contributed so far, and to those who find the site in the future and want to contribute.

Regards
Karina Taylor, site owner.
